The Table has so many meaning behind it. In our origin story I had shared that the name came from a conversation and a dream session with friends with the hope and goal of opening a coffee shop here in Toronto. This name came from the hope of nurturing a space of hospitality and recognizing how the table is this central place of gathering. With intentionality, the table really begins to nurture and cultivate healing and renewing space. It was our dreams to partner with others to cultivate this beautiful environment; filled with plants, arts and perhaps fresh bead. The dream hasn't completely died but definitely taken a turn.
Unfortunately because of the high capital cost in starting up a coffee shop, we are unable to continue exploring this possibility and feasibility of opening and operating a coffee shop in Toronto. Though it is very unfortunate that we were not able to start up a coffee shop.
As the idea continues be encased in history something happened in the world that disrupted every reality of life. The global COVID19 pandemic hit our world like a whirlwind - our lives are turned upside down. Somehow I providentially was connected with Steeped Coffee and began a dreaming and exploration of starting something to do with the coffee world. (Probably on another post I will share more about my own coffee journey) I believe these are divine conversations and providence in how The Table came to be! Renewing the hope of bringing wonderfully curated coffee product to your tables. This has been the dream :) and looking forward to being a part of your table in the time to come!
